Why Does An American Company Promotes .EU
The Host Color management decided to start promoting the Europe’s new .EU domain extension. The promotional campaign has already begun through our European web hosting site - Host Color Europe. We decided to follow the EURid’s .EU awareness campaign because we feel the concept of a single union in Europe very close to us.
Host Color is an American, Delaware incorporated web hosting business but it has been build in Europe. Our U.S company is the cornerstone of our business but we also have our own hosting facilities in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and since 2005 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In a world that has become very westernized but at the same time less “western” than it used to be, the European Union’s project brings together 27 very different countries, and represents an unique entity in International relations. The . EU domain is a very small piece of the whole European construction. At the same time it is important enough because it is created not just as domain name to be used for peoples’ websites. It is a tools aimed to help Europeans to build their new identity.
That’s why we at Host Color see our participation to the .EU awareness campaign as very important. We know that business is not about just to make money but it is also a commitment to something that people value. Host Color executives decided not to charge for domain registration anyone who wants to register their .EU domain and to use it for any kind of website. The .EU domain name promotional campaign will вьяш ultil the end of September 2007.
