Host Color on DrupalCon Szeged - Day 2

As we have already announced, Host Color is a Bronze sponsor of DrupalCon Szeged 2008. We have arrived in this very nice Hungarian town yesterday (August 27), left our luggage in the hotel ( it is next to the local prison
), registered for the conference and then went to the DrupalCon’s welcome party. This was the first day. Today we’re exibiting in the conference hall.
While we set up our booth Robert Douglass is helding a session “Drupal search: Where are we? Where are we going?”. A testing, Part 2 follows his panel, and Tiffany Farriss and Larry Garfield are holding “Drupal for Museums” keynote after that.
Another interesting sessions are “Building Facebook applications using Drupal” as well as “Hack-Proof Your Drupal AppKey Habits of Secure Drupal coding”, and “Building the Drupal Community around the World: who, why, where and when”.
Our first (mosrning) impressions from DrupalCon
1. Drupal developers and CMS service providers are pretty focused on business. They were all on the session rooms and kept strict to the schedule
2. Hungarian Drupal team is pretty strong. It has 600 committers which makes it the biggest one in the world
3. There are growing number of web application providers who provide high-class business ervices in Drupal. Check Acquia (provides value-added software products and services for Drupal). They are the main sponsor of DrupalCon Szeged 2008 (Follow the Con on DrupalCon Szeged blog).
So enough for now… we are now going to meet some poeple who just came to our booth. See you soon with some more DrupalCon moments and stories. Until then you can check the video below.
