“It pays”, this ways we can summarize Host Color’s new web hosting Affiliate Program. I believe that we succeeded to launch a product that will be very interesting to anyone who runs web hosting related blog, website or any kind of media that covers issues related to web development and website business. But let me tell you want is the main difference between Host Color’s affiliate program and all other programs you know. Ours pay you both when you send us unique visitor and when you make sale.
As we have said to web hosting media “Our web hosting affiliate program is unique and fair because it is based on a few important principles”.
1. Send Quality Traffic, Get Paid For Visitors
Unlike other web hosts who pay only when they get sale, Host Color pays its affilaites on Cost-per-click model. Every time when any of our affiliates send unique visitor to Host Color they get paid. We set per click rates for every customer. The main criteria are: relevancy of the web site to web hosting, PR, percentage of unique visitors to visits, geo reference (where visitors come from) and average number of visitors per sale.
PPC starts at $0.01 for general content websites that aren’t related to web hosting industry and goes to $0.15 cpc for targeted websites. This means that any web hosting site that sends Host Color 20 daily uniques would make up to $90 per month without even making any sales for us.
We set CPC rate for each affiliate and count each visit sent from their site as Reward point. At the end of each cycle (usually each month), we turn Reward points into real money.
2. Host Color Always Pays
This means that we do not outsource to you the responsibility of keeping the customer you send to us. Keeping customes with Host Color is our job. All our affiliates have to do is to send us people who need quality web hosting. Affiliates get their commission even if for some reason we fail to keep the customer. Compare this to other web hosts, that do not pay your affiliate commission if 45 days after the sale is made, the customer leaves. Ask yourself who’s fault is that - yours or theirs? We say you sahll get your commission when you bring customer to web hosting company, and we pay it!
3. A Real, 25% Commission Per Sale
The web is full of promises. There is a bunch of oversellers out there who offer $100 per sale, while the web hosting plans you advertise for them costs $70/year. If you think they will pay you $100 per sale, we wish you good luck in making money wit them! Just don’t forget that companies like these make sell exclusively through affiliate marketing, so we they would pay they should go out of the business. So they don’t!
Companies like these have departmens that have only one reason to exist, to make things the way so the web host can avoid paying affiliate commission. This is far from conspiracy. I have tested more than 50 affiliate program only for the last 12 months. 45 of them were scamps. The higher the commission is as percentage of sale, the less company pays to affiliates.
Host Color;s commission is fair. It is 25% of the payment customers you sent to us make on our website. Our affiliates receive their commissions between 1st and 10th of the month, after the sales are made (January commissions are paid between Feb 1st - Feb 10th).
