WordPress released version WordPress 2.7 Beta 2. The release of the official version is delayed until the end of this month. Let’s take a look at it and to say what’s new there.

What WordPress 2.7 Beta 2 Offer

The new version offers an improvised dashboard that has easy navigation links in the left hand side. This is a change from the regular top menu navigation the earlier versions had. The dashboard includes “Quick Press” a tools that offers an easy way to write short posts from the dashboard without having to invoke the full write panel. The write panel can now be accessed through any page from the top menu.

The new 2.7 Beta offers a fixed comments manager. It also has in-built function that enables bloggers to automatically upgrade their WP version and to handle inconsistent file permissions during auto upgrade process. In WP 2.7 anyone can also search for the plugins in WordPress extend gallery and directly install them without having to download it to local PC.
