Host Color’s VPS Hosting customers, as we’ve already announced on our corporate website, can upgrade their Plesk control panel installation to the new version 9.0. We offer the new version and a stable service from the 22 of December and advised our customers to migrate to the new release. What we want to emphasize now on is the great new features and benefits that can be found in 9.0.

Plesk Panel 9.0 offers new improved interface and easier back-up control, the Application Packaging Standard Catalog can be managed via the panel, a new Reseller level is added and Overselling/Overuse feature, for easier account and resource management. Also Parallels’ Billing is integrated in Plesk 9.0 along with Postfix mail server and @Mail web mail client.

The new powerful and comprehensive Plesk 9.0 is completely compatible with Virtuozzo’s virtualization technology. Along with Virtuozzo Containers it turns the management of a VPS into a real ease. New Users’ Interface – the new Vista style design of the panel interface makes navigation and task performance easier. It has the most commonly used features right on the home page and a pathbar on the left for selecting the user level.

Improved Back-Up Functionality – 9.0 allows VPS customers to selectively schedule and back-up data, that gives them more control on the overall process of creating a back-up and restoration.

Application Packaging Standard Catalog – is now completely integrated in Plesk CP and all application can be browsed trough it. This helps especially resellers to manage access and sell different applications for their customers.

Reseller Level – the owner of a reseller account or a VPS owner can create accounts for his customers and give them different access levels. He also can manage the resources for these accounts and add other domains.

Overselling/Overusage – resellers are given the ability to provide and manage resources directly from the control panel and monitor their customers accounts and their own resources.

Parallels Plesk Billing – Plesk 9.0 has integrated Parallels Plesk Billing system which is especially convenient for hosts and resellers as they do not need to integrate third party’s software to manage payments. The integrated account management and billing makes the service more efficient.

Postfix Server & @Mail Web Mail – the Postfix mail server is also available with the 9.0 control panel. Now switching between Qmail and Postfix mail servers is quite easy, and helps administrators to provide more stable and reliable service.
